State Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs: At Representative Bruce MacDonald's May 4th State Budget meeting in Boothbay Harbor, Bruce urged that those with budget concerns contact members of the State Appropriations Committee by email and phone. As Bruce said we are about to enter the "negotiation stage" for the biennial State Budget and perhaps the most important people to lobby at this point are the members of this Committee even though most of these people are unknown to us. According to Bruce, contacting them directly is one of the most effective mechanisms to voice our views.
