Topic: Referendum Questions on the November Ballot
Location: Our new Campaign Headquarters located at 281 Main Street in Damariscotta, adjacent to the First Federal Savings Bank
When: Tuesday September 20th 6:30 to 7pm Social Gathering, Meeting starts at 7pm. Refreshments will be available.
Presentations and informed discussion with those responsible for the five upcoming citizen initiatives.
Question 1: Possession and use of Marijuana by persons 21 years and older.
Question 2: Public Education Surcharge of 3% tax on any income above $200,000 per year, to provide support for Kindergarten through 12th Grade.
Question 3: Background Checks (with some exceptions) prior to the sale or transfer of firearms between individuals.
Question 4: Raising of the minimum wage from $7.50 in steps to $12 per hour in 2020.
Question 5: Allows voters to rank their choices of candidates in elections for U.S. Senate and Congress, Governor, State Senate, and Congress.
