We urge Democrats to engage in the political process year ‘round by calling, emailing and writing your legislators and the media. Get the facts, hone your argument, make your case.

If at least one Democrat in Lincoln County each day writes a letter (or writes an email or makes a call) we will achieve a Letter a Day from Lincoln County. It’s that simple!

This page lists contact information for newspapers serving readers in Lincoln County, compiled February, 2005, by Jerry Topinka.

Guidelines for Letters:
1. IMPORTANT: Include NAME, TOWN, PHONE NUMBER and DATE.
2. Keep concise and to the point.
3. Letter length:
  - Unless otherwise noted for individual papers, no specific word limit.
  - Shorter letters often get published and appear sooner.
  - Popular or general interest subject letters may be longer.
  - Contact editors in advance to submit long letters, columns or op-eds.
  - Strive to keep to under 300 words
4. Editors prefer E-mail, Webforms or Fax submissions.
5. Some local papers will not accept letters from other towns or counties.
6. Sign letters sent by traditional mail.
